So the new iOS has built-in white noise sounds. Absolutely brilliant for getting your baby off to sleep. But trying to find these sounds is near on impossible. Trying to find these controls feels like watching Simon Denton trying to use the digi wall. Let alone trying to find them whilst rocking your child, and without the screen light undoing all the calming you’ve already achieved.
This is where they are:
Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual > Background Sounds > On/Off
But there is a solution… Shortcuts App!In the Apple Shortcuts app: Shortcuts > + > Add Action > Search: Set Background Sounds Share > Add to Home Screen > [Give it a name] Repeat and then tap the ‘on’ to change it to ‘off’ and Add to Home Screen as seperate icon. How to find the Background sounds 😑
